See2Do! is a project funded by the European Interreg Flanders-Netherlands programme. The project which started in May 2016 and will run till the end of April 2019, is a cooperation between Dutch and Flemish cities, municipalities, intermunicipal associations and knowledge institutions. IGEMO is implementing See2Do! in the municipalities of Berlaar, Bornem, Duffel, Puurs, Sint-katelijne-Waver en Willebroek.
The goal of See2Do! is to stimulate citizens to refurbish their houses in order to make them more energy efficient. The project does this by providing free thermographic scans to show citizens the energy loss of their properties, thereby convincing them of the need of renovation and proper insulation.
In addition to the scan we also offer property owners advice and support with the implementation of the refurbishment. To help citizens create a personal action plan we developed the webtool Mijn Warm huis.
As a demonstration project, IGEMO’s own office building is also being refurbished into an energy efficient building with cutting-edge insulation and the application of several innovative techniques. After the reconstruction is finished, citizens will be given the opportunity to view the renovated building and learn about the applied techniques.
Interreg Flanders-Netherlands finances cross border projects for smart, green and inclusive growth.
